My latest knitting project!!

well I have been having fun knitting golf club covers.  Here is a picture of the red covers I made for the Holidays.  They are a big hit at the golf courses and so soft and furry.  They are made of fun fur and acrylic so they wash like a dream and get more furry the older they get.   I have had several customers and they sell for $18.00 each plus shipping and tax.  E-Mail me if you are interested in them and let me know what color you want.  I made bright blue ones with varigated yarn on the bottom, red ones with white on the bottom,  hot pink with black on the bottom, and lime green with white on the bottom or sock part.

LATEST QOV

Here are some pictures of my latest QOV, finished today.  I chose the contemporary Baptist Fan because the quilting will not  detract from the quilt.  Blind veterans love to feel the waves of the Baptist Fan and it always looks on the patriotic quilts.  The picture of the pink quilt on the top of my page is of a Memorial Quilt for a female veteran.  I loved doing it and pray it gave comfort to her family.

Here are some of my new favorites longarmed by me.

QOV The War is NOT over

There are some people who believe the war is over, however that is not true.  The war in Afghanistan is escalating and this link will get you  first hand information from an ICU nurse there.  As an old ICU nurse, Critical Care Educator, and Nursing Leader I did find this very interesting and not at all bad for those who are squeamish.  Enjoy

Trying to Spiral

I spent most of today collecting all the items I had for the spiral surf quilt. I found most of it and now am reading the book “Simply amazing Spiral Quilts”, by RaNae Merrill. I am trying to figure out how I made the blocks in 2010 and as soon as I do, I can finish my quilt. this is from my stash and I am not sure how big I can make it. I will post my adventure with this quilt as I go. If you have any suggestions let me know because I really want to finish this one this year. Have a great weekend and let me know what you are working on.
