Faith – what is it?

here is a definition that I love!!

I love my antique machines

I have several antique machines that I love to sew on. Some of them are treadles and others are handcranks. The handcranks are wonderful for my Granddaughter to use and she has been using them since she was 3 years old.
I have a goal of making a quilt on each of my machines that represent the year they were made and quilting the final designs on them using the same antique machine. I have seen videos of a lady quilting on her treadle. It totally fascinates me and I have got to try it sometime. You have to pedal fast and move the quilt as you go. I can see beautiful victorian feathers done this way but have not been successful in doing it.
Let me know if you use these machines in you quilting. It is so fun to exchange blocks with others who have antique machines. I have done this several times and would love to do it again.
Have a great week and God Bless you.

More photos are posted

I added more photos to the photos page. The slideshow is growing and now shows my original Hobby Quilter. I need to add a picture of the 18″ Nolting and now my new 24″ Nolting Pro. Hope you enjoy looking at them.

VERSES FOR THE DAY

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)

11” For I know the plans I have for you,” Declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you And not to harm you, plans to give you

hope and a future.  12 Then you will call Upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  13 You will seek me

And find me when you seek me with all Your heart.

WORK IN PROGRESS

I am working again on my spiral quilt.  I love the surf fabric and took a class at Road to California several years ago.  The spirals were taught by Renae Merrill and the quilt was called More fun Than a Barrel of Monkeys.  I sure hope to finish mine by the end of this year if not sooner.  We are a family with several surfers in it and all Californians.

New photos posted

I developed a new page of pictures of quilts I have done recently. I hope you enjoy seeing them. I love the colors and patterns and will add more pictures as soon as I find them. I have so many albums of quilts I have done that it is difficult for me to find them all.
Thanks for looking.

Starting another QOV

Here is a picture of the current QOV I am just starting.
I would love to do feathers on this but that is just two feminine for men so I will do and edge to edge called Waterworks.

My verse for the day

I need to remember this daily, hope you enjoy!!
“I commit you to God and to the Word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32 NIV)

Another knitting project

I made this sweater and hat for my Grandson but he wanted toys (2 year old) so I didn’t get a picture of him in it. He carried it around all day but would not wear it. Hope that meant he did like it. He does go sailing a lido with his parents. I made this on my Knitking knitting machine 340.

Welcome to my blog!

This site is where I will discuss my longarm quilting services and show pictures of the finished quilts.

I love quilting and providing the finish to the beautiful tops I receive from my customers.  My business has grown out of my quilting for the Quilts of Valor program (QOV).  QOV’s are quilts made and presented to our US military heros from all conflicts and wars.  Most of my work has been with the current wounded vets, however many of my quilts have gone to vets from the Vietnam war.  All have given so much so that I can stay home and do what I love to do spend time with my family as well as quilting and playing golf.
